The Iowa Hospitality & Lodging Association (IHLA) works tirelessly to advocate with state lawmakers and regulators to advance the business and regulatory interests of Iowa’s hoteliers.  As a member of IHLA, you become part of that collective voice—helping protect our industry, staying up-to-date on trends and legislative developments, and knowing when and how to take actions that help your property do business better.

During the legislative session our lobbying team is at the State Capitol everyday—tracking legislation and meeting with lawmakers.  Throughout the year we work directly with state agencies to address regulatory issues.

As a member, you help shape the agenda and then are first to know of when, and how, to engage with lawmakers, regulators and other officials. For national issues, the IHLA partners with the American Hotel & Lodging Association to keep you informed.
